Jal Neti is a traditional Indian yogic cleansing practice. It has been around for centuries and is one of the most popular ways to cleanse the nasal cavity, sinuses and throat.
The practice involves pouring water through one nostril and letting it drain out through the other. This is done with a pot or a jar.
In order to do this at home without pot, you can use your cupped hands as a substitute for the pot or even a syringe, that can easily be bought at any medical store.
To do Jal Neti at home without pot, fill your cupped hands with water and tilt your head to one side so that the ear on that side can rest on your shoulder or on a pillow.
Bring your hand up to your nose and pour some water into it while tilting your head in the opposite direction so that it can flow out of the other nostril, draining into the sink or toilet bowl below you.
Or use a syringe to do Jal neti at home without a pot as shown in this video.
